The final Verse

 My dad passed away in September, 2018. 

I did not blog for the last four years of his life because of family strife. There were people from his past that just didn't need to know his situation and details of his life. I felt it unwise to put out any updates or stories.

It's sad when relationships go awry and money, not love, becomes the driving force of their actions. 

I loved being involved in the last years of Dad's life. I grew to love him more deeply than ever before. His loss did not tear me apart emotionally, because the dad I knew had slowly disappeared, leaving a shell that resided in a bed having little to no free will. That tore me apart more than his death.
